HAVE QUESTIONS?

On-Site Antifreeze Recycling has well experienced representatives and we can answer any questions about your antifreeze needs. We can tap into our excellent resources!

GLY-COOL ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT IS FOR USE IN GASOLINE, HYBRID, & DIESEL ENGINES!

  • How much does it cost?
  • We can save you up to 50% on your antifreeze bills. We work very hard to keep our prices low to generate great savings for you.
  • Are you prompt to service when called upon?
  • We are prompt and can usually service within 24-hours...if not before! We have a great reputation for fast response to service requests.
  • What is the quality of Gly-Cool?
  • On-Site submits samples to the State of Florida Petroleum testing labs. The product goes through rigorous testing to meet ASTM quality and to measure up to the labeling we use. Gly-Cool is a State examined and registered antifreeze/coolant. Gly-Cool also uses Amalgatech Laboratory in AZ for frequent testing.
  • What is an inhibitor, add pac or fortifier for glycol?
  • Additive package, inhibitor, add pac, fortifier are all used to describe the way glycol is mixed with the chemistry to call it antifreeze. Gly-Cool uses a very reputable provider for our inhibitor additives. He is the board chair person (ASTM) for antifreeze inhibitors. On-Site Antifreeze Recycling is also an ASTM (American Society Testing Materials) Committee Member.
  • How important is the water you add to the radiator?
  • Water quality is critical. Gly-Cool 50/50 ready to use antifreeze/coolant is blended with DISTILLED WATER. Vehicle manufacturers recommend mixing de-ionized or distilled water with antifreeze. Do not use tap water, which may contain minerals that will corrode your cooling system and/or cause scale build-up. Do not use water softened with salts.
  • Why does antifreeze need to be changed?

Your car’s cooling system is the #1 related cause of roadside breakdowns. You can’t see coolant system damage until it’s too late! Changing your antifreeze regularly will keep your engine running smoothly and help prevent breakdowns.

  • Why are there so many colors of antifreeze?

Some of the colors are used to specify ingredients that are in the inhibitor package. For example currently GM (DexCool) prohibits the use of silicate, while the current specs for Ford and Chrysler mandate silicate! Some mandate nitrite in conventional coolant, but prohibit it in extended service coolant. In the market today there are many colors..now adding blue, purple and pink to the list.

  • Can Gly-Cool be used with other colors of antifreeze?

It is recommended that in order to have the protection Gly-Cool offers, one would have to flush the radiator of old coolant. OSAR has Gly-Cool Gold which for the sake of color alone, would blend with other colors without changing them too much. Eventually, whatever a vehicles reservior is being topped off with in a repeated manner would eventually become dominant for it's ingredients. Gly-Cool can be used with any antifreeze, but it's full benefits are best realized by a complete flush and refill. When adding different colors together they can mimic rust contamination when in effect it is just colors that don't remain true.

Did you know?:

Radiators in today's vehicles are extremely fragile and lightweight. They contain smaller cooling tubes than older models and are easy to clog.
